To celebrate turning 400, Grolsch commissioned the artwork of 400 artists worldwide with the sole task of re-visualising the iconic swingtop. The response to this was hugely successful and grew to become a series of short films, documenting the artists procedures and promoting Grolsch’s collaborative attributes.
Nation were brought on to realise the celebrations, digitally. This meant creating a beautifully designed platform that could stand up to the already prominent artwork, complimenting rather than competing with it. In addition to this, building a powerful stage to host the vast amounts of high quality image and video content that made up the campaign.
It was all well and good having beautiful assets, but we needed to make this engaging to the user and allow them to forge their own paths of discovery
We decided to create an interactive mosaic. At different intervals, this allowed users to see the vastness of the 400 project but also to dig deeper, discovering more detailed content as they did so. Users could choose how to navigate the piece, by controlling their depth and using different interactions relative to this.
