Unfortunately for Fran (our new and most excellent intern) the only desk currently free to sit at in the studio is where our server sits. Tom discovered a new way to creatively direct the work she’s been doing with screen-sharing, Ustream.com and a webcam. As well as having his giant face loom-large, we stream music from that computer so his voice booms out through the stereo.
Fran quickly located the off switch on the monitor.
29.10.09 - Haapppy Happppy Halloweeen… |
A little bit early perhaps but we fancied displaying some pumpkins in the window of our studio for the week running up to Halloween so we decided to eat our body-weight in sweets and carve up some gourds. We’ve also been listening to the Halloween 3 ‘Silver Shamrock’ theme on loop in the studio. Good times.

29.10.09 - Corn Fields, Zombies and Pumpkins. Nation go to Alton Towers. |
Nations first studio trip had to be good, and since we can’t quite stretch to speedboats in the Bahamas (Give us a year) we decided to show the un-initiated what Alton Towers is all about. Rollercoasters. Big Ones. Oh and it was the Halloween ‘Scarefest’ so we ran through some corn fields being chased by zombies too. No Really.

21.10.09 - Augmented Heating |
While summer isn’t quite “officially” over, The temperature makes It seem like nothing but a distant memory already. We’re without any central heating in the studio, so purchased a couple of heaters to try and keep the place toasty, while we were at it we’ve tried to make in feel warmer too so have set this up in our empty fireplace.

10.08.09 - New Office, New Rachel. |
So we finally moved into our new place in Hoxton Square, and at roughly about the same time we took on Rachel.
New Office looks good.
With a couple of projects in hand we quickly realised we needed help organising ourselves and the people we work with. Rachel is exactly what we were looking for. A Project Manager who knows how to communicate with sensitive design types like ourselves, but can take more than her fair share of jokes (she’s American, she’s used to defending herself against the British) and gives it back in equal measure.
Here’s Rachel, talking to BT on the phone (hence the angry face).. yeahpp loving the new studio.

18.06.09 - Nation launch new Lowe London website |
Lowe approached us to design and produce a new website for the London office. The site was built to hold their new mission statement, some of their latest work and an archive of their award winning advertising work from the past. We worked closely with the digital team at Lowe, and developed the idea of producing short ambient videos to compliment their new ‘very british’ branding. http://www.lowelondon.com
